A Christmas Quilt for Me!
When my quilty friend, Linda Thielfoldt, decided to start a Christmas quilt on December 26, she figured it would take a year and it would be done for next Christmas. Then she generously invited other quilters to join her, and the Quilted Goose Quilt Along was born. Linda has designed a beautiful, scrappy sampler quilt, and is sharing the block patterns in a private Facebook page.
I haven’t made a quilt for *me* in so long, and I don’t have a Christmas quilt. I only have one small Christmas wall hanging that I made, and a couple of table runners that were gifts. So, yes!, it’s time to make a Christmas quilt for me.
Lucky me, I had no problem pulling fabrics from my stash to make it really scrappy:
I’m not usually a scrap quilter, but hey, I can think outside my box when these pretties are tempting me. I have a tone-on-tone white fabric that could work for the background, but I think I’ll shop for something a little more interesting.
The first blocks will be published on Sunday, and I can start sewing next week. I’ll keep you posted.
