Who wouldn’t want a glamorous sewing machine?

Janome recently added a new sewing machine to their line – the 15-Stitch, Easy to Use Sewing Machine.  What is so fun about this new machine is that it comes in 5 luscious colors:  Arctic Crystal, Blue Couture, Pink Sorbet, Lovely Lilac, and Purple Majesty.

Can you guess which one I bought?  Well, I’m making a statement with Purple Majesty, of course!

I just couldn’t resist a purple sewing machine – and it’s a Janome!

The Purple Majesty is slightly bigger than my Janome Jem Silver, the portable machine I’ve been carrying around to class for years.  At 11 pounds, the Purple Majesty would also work well as a class/retreat machine.

Right out of the box, it sewed a beautiful stitch, front and back.

This is a great starter/beginner mechanical machine, especially for the price.  Or it could be a good back-up machine because it’s pretty *and* powerful.

The only aspect I wasn’t crazy about is that you can only buy one of these machines online from a big box store, not from your local Janome dealer.  These machines are available online through Joann’s, Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, HSN, and Wayfair.  Not all these retailers offer all the colors, so if you’ve fallen in love with one of them, make sure to check out all the stores’ websites.  I’d recommend typing in the machine’s color to find what you want.
